Lisa Ng is the founder of YaMo Coaching and a motivational coach, a teacher, an author and a speaker. She loves to inspire and empower young adults to live up to their personal potential and take advantage of their opportunities. YaMo Coaching is dedicated to empowering young adults to realize their potential, get career direction and become organized for success.

The Story Behind YaMo

After years of teaching high school and middle school, Lisa developed the idea of motivational coaching for young adults as response to a need that she saw among her students. She noticed that each student had amazing potential in one area or another but that they often were unable or unmotivated to work up to that potential in school. She began to analyze the possible causes and experiment with different methods of motivation in order to inspire her students to live up to their potential. Some of the realizations that she was able to come to were that students were working below their potential because they either lacked direction or were under the assumption that education didn't relate with their life. Her career coaching program is dedicated to giving students the career direction they need as well as teaching them how to make their education relevant to their future.

Lisa started OC Career Coaching in 2008, in hopes of helping young people to find direction in life so that they would be successful in school. She eventually opened the program up to college students and adults, as well, and experienced success with all three programs. However, after careful consideration, she decided to reorganize the company's focus and rename it so that she was able to focus solely on young adults. She developed YaMo Coaching (Young Adult Motivational Coaching) which helps high school and college students to get career direction, develop goals and make the most of their education.

Lisa is truly passionate about empowering young people to live life to its fullest so that they do not waste their education and look back in regret. She loves motivating the youth and speaks regularily at local schools, youth groups and clubs.

Lisa holds a MA in Education and a BA in Sociology.

She is also a credentialed English teacher.
